PETOMG CAT WALL PLANNING GUIDE · 05
Choose the job first. Then choose the unit.
A beautiful module is not automatically the module your route needs. Start with the missing function—connection, pause and turn, or destination—then compare the CM units designed to perform that job.
Find the missing route role
By the end of this guide, you should be able to answer:
“Which function is missing—and which CM units should I compare?”
READ THE ROUTE BEFORE THE CATALOG
Three questions prevent the wrong purchase.
What must happen here? Is the cat crossing a gap, stopping to reposition, or reaching a place worth staying?
How much body movement is required? A one-direction step is different from a place to pause, turn or pass another cat.
Is the placement restricted? Some units need a corner; every choice still depends on the real wall, approach direction and cat.

What does your route need next?
Select the problem—not the product. The comparison below changes to show the units whose most representative role fits that need.
COMPARE WITHIN THE SAME ROLE
Similar purpose does not mean identical use.
Once the missing job is clear, compare how much pause space, rest value, shelter or placement freedom each option contributes. This is more useful than comparing only appearance or piece count.
A compact connector may be enough; do not automatically make it a turnaround point.
CM05 or CM07Compare platform-type units that provide more meaningful repositioning space.
CM12, CM26 or CM27Choose the experience: open rest, lookout, sheltered hideaway, tunnel or bubble destination.
CM03, CM09, CM15, CM23 or CM24Corner-only units can use that geometry; they should not be planned as flat-wall products.

A module may provide several functions. It appears here under its most representative planning role so customers can compare like with like.

The right units still need long-term reliability.
The next guide shows how to judge the product body, daily-wear components, wall connection, installation and condition over time as one complete system.
