PETOMG CAT WALL GUIDE · 06

Reliability is more than the name of the wood.

A cat wall becomes a long-term part of your home. Judge it as a complete installed system: product body, daily-wear components, wall connection, installation and condition over time.

Use the reliability check

Different modules do different jobs. Their structure, contact surfaces and mounting condition should be considered separately.

THE DECISION THIS GUIDE HELPS YOU MAKE

“What should I check before buying—and what should I continue checking after installation?”

01

CHECK THE COMPLETE SYSTEM

Start with five parts of the reliability picture.

PETOMG’s wall-mounted product bodies use rubberwood. Depending on the exact module, the system may also include linen fabric, rope-wrapped surfaces or removable clear parts.

Material matters, but the installed result also depends on how the module meets your wall, how it is installed and whether its condition changes with use.

01

Product body

Look at the wood body, joints, brackets and the module’s physical form.

02

Daily-wear parts

Identify fabric, rope-wrapped, padded and removable clear components.

03

Wall connection

Check the mounting points and use a fixing method suitable for the actual wall.

04

Installation

Placement, workmanship and the completed route affect the installed result.

05

Condition over time

Watch for movement, wear, damage or changes at the mounting area.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Ask four questions in this order.

This separates product quality from installation conditions and helps you identify the exact point that still needs an answer.

1 · EXACT PRODUCT

Which module am I considering?

Use the exact SKU, product photos, dimensions and component list. Do not assume every module has the same structure or surfaces.

Outcome: you know what the module is and what role it performs.

2 · WEAR POINTS

Which parts will my cat touch most?

Separate wood from fabric, rope-wrapped, padded and removable clear parts because they wear and clean differently.

Outcome: you know what requires routine attention.

3 · ACTUAL WALL

How will it connect to my wall?

Confirm the wall type and follow the current installation instructions for the product and fixing method.

Outcome: the mounting decision is based on your wall, not the room photo.

4 · INSTALLED CONDITION

What needs checking after installation?

Inspect the completed module and mounting area before use, then respond if movement, damage or condition changes appear later.

Outcome: reliability remains an active check, not a one-time assumption.

A PRACTICAL RELIABILITY CHECK

Move from product facts to an installed decision.

Use this sequence when comparing products and repeat the last two steps after installation or whenever the route changes.

IDENTIFY

Confirm the exact SKU, its role and its verified materials or components.

PLACE

Decide where the module belongs in the complete route.

INSTALL

Follow the current instructions and the fixing logic for the actual wall.

CARE

Clean each surface appropriately and keep the installed area observable.

RESPOND

Pause access and get help if a component, fixing point or installed condition changes.

A large set should not be described as one undifferentiated “wood product.” Each module and interface contributes a different function and evidence need.
02

KNOW WHAT NEEDS CARE

Different components need different attention.

Use the exact product page and instructions to identify every component in your chosen module. The examples below show why a single “wood cat wall” label is not enough for long-term care.

RUBBERWOOD BODY

Wood surfaces and structural form

Check the body, joints and mounting area as part of the installed module—not as an isolated material sample.

LINEN FABRIC SLING

CM03 adds a soft resting surface

Its fabric sling has different cleaning and wear points from the surrounding rubberwood supports.

REMOVABLE CLEAR PART

CM09 combines a wood frame and clear bubble

Clean the clear surface without abrasive products and check how the removable part sits in its surrounding structure.

WHEN COMPARING PRODUCTS

Look for conditions, not just adjectives.

01

A load number needs its conditions.

It is only useful when it applies to the exact product and states the relevant wall, fixing and installation conditions.

02

A material name does not answer every care question.

Look separately at the wood body, fabric, rope-wrapped surfaces, pads and removable parts in the module you are buying.

03

Wall compatibility is an installation decision.

Make it from your actual wall and the current instructions—not from a staged room image or a universal-sounding phrase.

03

CARE BY COMPONENT

Care for the surface that is actually in front of you.

Rubberwood, fabric, rope-wrapped surfaces and clear parts should not all be cleaned in the same way. Follow the current instructions for the exact SKU whenever they differ.

RUBBERWOOD SURFACES

Use a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Keep modules in a dry indoor area. Avoid soaking the wood or treating indoor care guidance as approval for outdoor use.

FABRIC, PADS & ROPE-WRAPPED PARTS

Spot clean as needed.

Check the condition and attachment of the specific component while cleaning instead of applying the wood-care method to every surface.

REMOVABLE CLEAR PARTS

Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Clean the transparent surface gently and check the removable part and the structure around it before returning it to use.

WHEN CONDITION CHANGES

Use what you can see and feel to choose the next action.

CONDITION UNCHANGED

Continue routine care and observation.

Follow the current SKU care guidance and include the surfaces and mounting area in your regular visual check.

Review care by component →
VISIBLE WEAR OR CHANGE

Pause and document what changed.

Take a full installed-wall photo and close photos of the affected component or fixing area so the issue can be assessed in context.

Ask PETOMG →
LOOSE, DAMAGED OR UNCERTAIN

Stop access to the affected route area.

Do not keep testing it with your cat. Follow the current instructions and seek product, installation or professional help as appropriate.
