I have to say, this tree has not been easy. Fairly easy to build, but if you want to make any adjustments, look out. That's when things go awry. Most of the hardware either strips or the grommets get pulled out. I ordered the hammock after I originally built this, and when I was putting it on, the grommets that hold the hammock in place pulled out. I've tried using gorilla glue and wood glue to secure them. We'll see if it holds. My cat is 16 lbs. He's already fallen off once because there is nothing for him to grab onto on the wood. I will have to add tread stickers to help. Finally, I fell of my ladder and sprained by pinky trying to adjust it at the top. It's been a battle. Looks great. I sure hope the cats like it.
